Terms of Service

Last updated: 26 July 2026

Summary: Pilot Logbook is provided free of charge, "as is", with no warranty and no guarantee of any kind. The currency, recency and revalidation information it shows is advisory only — it is not official, not authoritative, and must not be relied on for any flight or legal decision. You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legal sufficiency of your records, and you must verify your status with the UK CAA. To the fullest extent the law allows, we accept no liability arising from your use of the service.

1. The service

Pilot Logbook provides a digital pilot logbook service. It is provided free of charge, on an "as is" and "as available" basis. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the security of your account credentials. You agree not to share your account. You must provide accurate contact information and keep it up to date.

3. Acceptable use

You may not use the service to: violate any law; attempt to access data belonging to other users; interfere with the operation of the service; or resell or commercially redistribute the service without prior written permission.

4. Your data is yours

You retain all rights in the logbook data you enter. You grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display that data solely to provide the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your flight records.

5. Accuracy, currency information and legal sufficiency

Important: you are solely responsible for the accuracy and legal sufficiency of your logbook entries for any regulatory, licensing, insurance, or employment purpose. While we take calculation correctness seriously, the service is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee that any specific calculation, currency status, revalidation status, or report will satisfy any specific regulator or examiner in any specific case.

Any currency, recency or revalidation information shown is calculated from the entries you provide and is advisory only. It is not an official determination of your currency, ratings, or fitness to fly, and must not be relied upon as the basis for acting as pilot-in-command or for any other flight or legal decision. Always verify your status against the UK CAA and the primary Part-FCL sources before relying on it.

6. No warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties or conditions of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, that calculations will be correct, or that it will meet your requirements.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability. We will try to give advance notice where possible.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your profile page. On deletion we will remove your data within 14 days. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable.

9. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015).

Subject to the above, and because the service is provided free of charge on an "as is" basis, to the maximum extent permitted by law we accept no liability for any loss or damage — whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential — arising from your use of, or reliance on, the service or any information it provides. In particular, we are not liable for any consequence of acting (or failing to act) on any currency, recency, or revalidation information. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to £50.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 30 days before taking effect.

Note for launch: these terms are a draft and must be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before going live in production.
